The UNDP/CIPS Advanced Practitioner Applied Learning Programme is a tailormade, fully online training pathway supporting procurement professionals from the UN, public sector institutions, and partner organisations in achieving MCIPS accreditation. Jointly developed by UNDP and CIPS, the programme integrates global best practices with the operational realities of UN and public procurement environments. Through a blend of structured e-learning, live virtual workshops, applied assignments, and a capstone business project, participants build strategic capabilities in leadership, commercial and contract management, global supply chains, and sustainable procurement. The aim of this course is to provide participants with:

• Strategic Development Skills. To develop strategies for significant procurement, including involvement in organizatonal strategic and financial planning and to organize and manage strategic procurement activities.
• Strategic Negotiation Skills. To improve the strategic communication and negotiation skills, including the management of commercial and legal considerations in negotiations, bargaining and conflict and resolution processes.
• Advanced Contract Management. To develop the capacity to manage strategic supply, services and conflict resolution processes.

The aim of this course is to provide participants with:

• The capability to plan, implement and evaluate a logistical exercise and select International Commercial Terms appropriate to the value/risk of the goods being procured and transported.
